Creativity and the Quarantine: The Challenge - Week 1

March 30, 2020

Hello and happy quarantine!

I am sure there are several reasons to not enjoy this state-mandated quarantine; the most prevalent reason I have heard from other creatives is that they are EXTREMELY bored.

As for me, my senior year in high school has essentially been cancelled, and while I have been completely my online work, it takes me about 3 hours per week to finish it, which honestly, is NOT enough.

So, I challenged myself to try several different creative projects, but the kicker was, they can NOT INCLUDE WIRE-WRAPPING.

My biggest fear with TrinitysWireCreations is that it'll turn into more of a job than a passion, because that's when the work gets repetitive, sloppy, or emotionless.  If I wire wrap everyday of this quarantine then it won't be good for my well being or my work.

------------------------The Challenge-------------------------

If you know me personally, or even a little bit, you know that I cannot paint to save my life (I'm not even being modest, it's so bad). Naturally, I had to try painting during my first quarantine week!

I always wanted to try painting, and since fashion is another passion of mine, I bought some blank Air Force 1's and painted on them! It was incredibly time consuming and somewhat stressful, sine my stencil was giving out on me. But, with time, I completed what is now my favorite pair of shoes.

Week 1 - Painting

Hopefully I can wear them outside soon, but until then onto the next creative project.

Hint to Week 2 - "Upcycling"
